These two shrines were created during the pandemic. When St. Bartholomew reopened its doors, the statues of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, a Doctor of the Church, and St. Joseph and the Christ Child, were relocated from their places in the sanctuary. A former confessional—no longer in use—was repurposed as a special place for prayer to these two beloved saints. St. Joseph is one of two saints who has two feast days on the Church’s Liturgical Calendar.
