"Our hope for you is firm, for we know that as you share in the sufferings, you also share in the encouragement," 2 Corinthinans 1:7.
Compassionate parishioners trained in the Ministry of Consolation "gently accompany mourners" through funeral planning liturgy, support group meetings, seasonal events, retreats, and ongoing communication. For more information contact the coordinator, Bernadette Tellez.
"Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest after the sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us," St. Alphonsus Liguori.
Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is every Friday morning from 6:30 to 7:30 am. During this Holy Hour, we pray in silence as we sit before the Lord. Each moment we spend adoring Christ, really present in the Eucharist, deepens our union with him. Each Holy Hour we make brings our Lord’s special blessings and graces upon us and our loved ones. During this Holy Hour, we can read Scripture or a favorite prayer book, or speak to Jesus heart-to-heart. A recitation of the Rosary will break the silence when the Holy Hour concludes.
“Could not keep watch with me for one hour?” –Matthew 26:40
